After SABC 2 made a grave error, on July 5th by scheduling a Rugby documentary, in place of the much anticipated Ditshomo – A story on South African Theatre.
The national broadcaster redeemed itself by flighting Ditshomo on Sunday, July 12th 21:00

It’s inspiring to witness artists take the lead in documenting their own stories, it enables the history of the hunt to remain authentic in it’s own voice.
In Part 1 of the 2 part doccie, Masheane narrates the story of the South African theatre space, and the history thereof.
The contribution of the arts to the fight against apartheid in South Africa is, to many, unknown, even less recognized and spoken of.
Focusing on protest theatre, Disthomo narrates how the theatre space became the stage to utter words and feelings that would never have been printed in newspapers or shown on tv, speaking words that would otherwise be silenced.
