#WNSAwards: Vote for the Perfect Poem

In the last six years of Word N Sound, we’ve seen the most legendary poems and in the spirit of honouring the excellence in our craft, we salute these gems with a Perfect Poem Award.

2016 was no different. Each month, some of the country’ most exciting and talented emerging voices rocked our stage with poems that were well crafted and beautifully written. The kind of pieces you’d struggle to forget.

We are proud to announce our nominees for the 2016 Word N Sound Perfect Poem Award;

Ellipsis – Thobani Mntambo

I’m In The Mood To Monkey – Zewande B.K Bhengu

Black Boi Be – Xabiso Vili

Winter Cold – Bella Cox

Now it’s up to you to decide which of these poems deserves to walk away with the prize.
