FREE WORKSHOP: Bloemfontein are you ready?

Last month we hosted the first of our were workshops in partnership with the Southern African Youth Network in Mpumalanga. It was a brilliant two days of learning and sharing with the provinces emerging writers. And now we’re off to Bloemfontein so if you are in town, make sure you don’t miss out!

Southern African Youth Movement and the Word N Sound Live Literature Company are bringing the second leg of the Poetry Arts Programme to Bloemfontein on 15 and 16 March 2017. Free 2 Day Writing and Arts Admin Workshops. The free 2 day workshop is designed to equip young writers with professional and up-to-date information and techniques to assist them in developing their writing and performance, branding and imaging, admin and business management and expose them to various opportunities available for writers and poets.

The workshops will take place at Bains Game Lodge no. 31 Old Kimberley Road, Bloemfontein. Free transport is available from the Civic Theatre to Bains Game Lodge and back on each day. Free Tea, Coffee and lunch will be served on both days of the workshops.

The workshops will focus on the following topics:
Day 1: (9:30AM – 4PM)
Writing and Editing (Facilitated by Mphutlane Wa Bofelo)
Theatre Performance Basics (Facilitated by Oscar Motsikoe)

Day 2: (9:30AM – 4PM)
Business Admin Skills (Facilitated by Mutinta Bbenkele)
Digital Skills for Poets (Facilitated by Qhakaza Mthembu)

Need transport?
Space for the workshops is limited so get to the Civic Theatre (83 Charles Str, Mangaung Municipality) before 8am to catch the free transport or go straight to the venue and arrive by 9am.
